About us
Together for Transport brings together all those who share a vision of an integrated public transport system that serves local communities to find local solutions to the threats posed by cuts. We do this by research, resources, training and networking.
Our priorities
- Our emphasis is to work with groups and individuals who share our vision so that we can work together to achieve our shared aims
- We see this as happening through recognising that within communities what affects one group in one way also has an impact on others but often for different reasons.
- To achieve our joint aims will mean that groups and individuals who may not normally see themselves in alliance come together nevertheless to campaign for their common good
Our Approach
- Our approach is that of community organising
- What we offer is research, resources, training and networking for groups and individuals who share our concerns about public transport
- This approach is based on trust, flexibility, leadership and involvement with Together for Transport seeking to enable campaigners and would-be campaigners to have the resources they need to protect and advance public transport

Origins of Together for Transport
Together for Transport was set up by TSSA, a trade union active in public transport and travel, as a community organising project bringing groups and individuals together to campaign against cuts in public transport and increases in fares.
